Software firm iCountability announces ibAcus update, version 2.5.5.
Saint John, NB – This release of ibAcus further strengthens its utilty, particularly for warehouse applications. The introduction of the first standard report templates and the ability to create locations straight from customer data will prove invaluable in inventory data collection.
The ibAcus install now comes equipped with two report templates, a variance report and a misplaced stock report. Customers will easily stay on top of their inventory with these two new comparison reports.
Customers now have the option to automatically extract location information from their own inventory data files. This will not only save time but also ensure accuracy in the construction of their site profiles.

Software firm iCountability announces a major mid-term update, ibAcus 2.5.2.
Saint John, NB – With two releases in less than two years, developers at iCountability Corp. have answered the challenge to produce software that makes back-end data collection easy , efficient, and safe. Now they have announced a major mid-term update of their inventory counting software that brings an even easier-to-use product to the workplace. Strengthening the framework of ibAcus 2.0 released earlier this year, ibAcus 2.5.2 enhances usability while building new features and enabling people to do more with less perplexity.
Users will notice those expanded capabilities in the area of reporting, particularly with respect to reports, where support now exists for attaching generalized reporting templates to profiles and counts. If the available report types don't suit your requirements, one can be custom-built by our development team in short order. Reports can now be created from CServer without the need to open iReporter, and they are compressed by default, a time-saver for those who need to compress files that need to be sent through email or posted on an FTP site.
An exciting innovation is the capability of ibAcus to gather multiple pieces of data from a single barcode scan. With that scan, CServer can break up the cost of the scanned item into multiple departments using linked departments. Need to keep a separate track of deposits on beverage containers? Need to assess individual costing to each of several components that comprise a single item? ibAcus can do it.
Transaction logging on count resources will be particularly welcomed by details-oriented staff who like to have a precise accounting of what has gone on during and after the count process. Find that Joe has been making mistakes all morning and want to remove his count from the record? The transaction log lets you do it. Inadvertently remove Jack's count instead? The log allows you to add it back in. Try to make an adjustment on a single item and find you've deleted the entire file instead? Log to the rescue! Want to know who accessed the count and what he did? The transaction log is at your service, and it works on-the-fly. Simply put, it is a real time-saver.
A real plus for end-users is the launch of “One Button Predictive Scanning” mode, now available on all iCounter CE platforms. This will be especially welcome in situations where there are many single quantities because it saves repetitive keystrokes and reduces chances for user error. Another plus is the ability to merge old and new codesets via a simple one-click operation, allowing users to update and consolidate information without losing data that is still relevant.
Information on these and other features is available in fully documented guides on our website at www.icountability.com, or by emailing sales@icountability.com

ibAcus 2.0 software offers new features sure to please back-end data collection professionals and in-house inventory managers alike. Scanning, scripting top list of valuable features and powerful tools for increasing user capabilities.
ibAcus 2.0 Release
Saint John, NB - The world just became a better place to be if you collect inventory information, either as a professional or as part of an in-house data-gathering team. iCountability Corp. today announced the release of ibAcus 2.0, replete with many new features and capabilities that build on the already powerful and user-friendly ibAcus 1.0, released just 11 months ago.
This information-gathering software is a unique tool for helping professionals or laymen count physical inventory. Be it financial, barcode, SKU, or a mixture of the three, and whether for financial statements, cycle counts, determination of theft and shrink, or location of lost inventory, ibAcus collects, manages and maintains records independently and for any number of counts, counting staff and sites by location, section and shelf in a way that is both user-friendly and auditable, while employing up-to-date technology couched within the familiar confines of Windows XP.
The ibAcus package, supported by its Cserver, iCounter, and iReporter components provides a robust framework for performing wireless or batch site counting easily. This design, a cornerstone of ibAcus, provides control and precision to the user at every level while embracing a multi-user counting model employing hand held computers made by leading manufacturers. All the features customers know and love from ibAcus 1.0, which provides user tools, enhanced accountability, and independent audit functionality in a client /server environment are also present in 2.0. The wireless support provides live software updates without cradling, and on-the-fly data synchronization with verifiable data delivery. The iReporter component continues building convenient, well-formated reports and can be freely distributed, thereby giving inventory service firms, their customers, and in-house inventory managers the power to select, build, and print desired reports at any time, even while a count is active.
The integrated-script interface enables import of multiple file formats, so whether you are a single user or a professional inventory firm, you now have the ability to cope with any type of inventory data and do lookups and reports on key end-customer fields. Simply put, you can import the end-customer's cost, retail, on-hand, and description , and other data without regard to its format and use it in your count. This extremely versatile interface works with data structures for scanned counting of any sort, and all business logic can be hidden in discrete scripts, which does away with the need for field managers to understand the technical mumbo-jumbo involved, or actually do anything more involved than selecting the appropriate button to import data.
Margins can now be entered before or after a count since support has been added to iCountability's freely distributable iReporter software, giving end-customers the freedom to self-enter the margins. An expanded and improved Count Mode feature allows users to select from a variety of data-collection types, and iReporter can generate reports based on all these modes, though it is certainly not limited to them. There is a convenient iCounter version built and supported for XP ( a virtual rendition of a hand held visible and usable on the server computer screen). Trial version downloads and complete documentation have been made accessible via the Company website @ www.icountability.com, and pricing information can be obtained by clicking on the sales link.
iCountability Corp. has developed software since 2004 at its headquarters in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.
